District Wide Safety Plan

In accordance with New York State Education Law §2801-a, the Saranac Central School District has made the District-Wide School Safety Plan available for public review and comment.

📅 Public Comment Period:
The plan will be available for public comment for a period of 30 days, beginning June 06, 2025 and ending July 07, 2025.

📢 Public Hearing:
A public hearing will be held on July 08, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the District office to provide an opportunity for school personnel, parents, students, and community members to participate and offer feedback.

📝 Plan Adoption:
The Board of Education will consider the adoption of the plan after the 30-day public comment period and the public hearing.

This year our assessment schedule is quite expansive!  There are new Regents Assessments in Biology and Earth & Space Science that the New York State Education Department scheduled earlier in the month.  This results in high school students being in session on certain days and out on others depending on which assessments that they are scheduled to take.  Mrs. Venne, Counseling Office Secretary, shared the June 2025 Regents Exam Schedule with families a few weeks ago.  This calendar includes transportation information as well. She will share this again for our students and families as our assessments begin next week!  The calendar below provides a general overview of when students are in session, final exam dates, regents dates and the last day of school.
