Morning Drop-Off

Good afternoon, Saranac Middle and High School Families, 

Over the past year, we have seen an increasing number of students being dropped off early in the morning, and it has become a safety concern. Currently, we have one staff member assigned to each side of the building to supervise students before the school day begins. Due to the growing number of early arrivals, we are no longer able to safely supervise the volume of students being dropped off. 

As we plan for the upcoming school year, we plan to adjust the morning drop-off times or eliminate early drop-offs altogether. We wanted to provide families with advance notice, so you have an opportunity to make alternative arrangements during the summer before a final decision is made. 

We expect to make a final decision in the coming weeks and will communicate any changes as soon as they are finalized.
